Testimonials from happy clients:

“A manuscript critique from Beth is extremely valuable.  She can see right to the heart of your story, giving constructive comments and clear advice on how to move forward – you’ll see your work in a new light.  I’ve recommended her to friends who were similarly impressed with her thorough reading of their work and her excellent story insights.”  Elizabeth Ross, author of the YA novel Belle Epoque, Delacorte 2013, nominated for ALA’s prestigious Morris award for debut writers.

“Working with Beth Ann Bauman is a gift. She is intuitive, insightful, intelligent, and her rare combination of expertise and encouragement makes her the right person to share your story with in its critical stages.” Merryn Johns, Editor-in-Chief of Curve magazine and author of Bright Spark, a novel-in-progress.

“I trust Beth’s editorial judgment implicitly. Her mastery of three-act structure and thorough understanding of character, plot, setting and style have helped me take my writing to places I otherwise never would have reached. Her editorial judgment is second to none.” Jon Swan, author of a YA novel-in-progress

  1. I wanted to see if you are teaching any writing courses in the NYC area. Heard you are a great teacher from someone who took your class at the West Side Y — but don’t see you on the summer schedule (perhaps due to your recent book publishing…) Thank you!

    • Hi Jill,
Yes! I’m teaching two classes, starting on June 26th and June 27th–a fiction workshop called Going Deeper and an exercise-based class called Filling the Well. Here’s the link for registration. http://www.ymcanyc.org/westside Click on Online Registration on the lower left and then New to YMCA of Greater New York (on right). The registration form isn’t as bad as it looks.

Hope to see you, and sorry for the slow response!Beth

  2. HI there! Do you happen to teach any classes in the city?
